What does this mean?

• Lone Star personnel are factory trained and certified by DBI-SALA.
• Lone Star follows factory guidelines for repairs, and is audited on a regular basis.
• Lone Star uses factory supplied spare parts as well as calibrated tools and fixtures to ensure that all repaired SRLs meet original factory specifications.
• Lone Star can repair and recertify SRLs used in major falls, or those that might need repair due to extensive use.

When to Have an SRL or “Block” Serviced

There is no specific timetable, but work environment, type of work performed, and frequency of use are important factors. The “Before Use Inspection” and annual inspection provide valuable information about the condition of the Self-Retracting Lifeline. When a “Before Use Inspection” or annual inspection detects an unacceptable condition in the SRL, then authorized servicing is required to correct any unacceptable conditions.

The Block Repair Service Process

After the Self-Retracting Lifeline arrives at an Authorized Block Repair Center it is taken apart, cleaned and thoroughly inspected.

• All components are checked for normal wear, corrosion, and other damage.
• The energy-absorbing brake element is recalibrated.
• SRL is reassembled and inspected.
• Certification is issued for each completed SRL.
